Hey Music Lovers! Do people still collect vinyl albums? I'm a member of a private rare vinyl blog that has fallen a bit with quality sharing, (we upload and share hard to find rare albums so that others can at least hear them; although they may not be fortunate enough to find a decent physical copy) so I'm asking for a little feedback from all the Music blogs and forums I belong to. I realize that with the advent of CDs and MP3s that most people opt for the convenience, but anyone who has collected albums since they were young, you know; it becomes a passion, and can also be a very profitable hobby.
Record collectors are an odd bunch. I mean that in the best way possible. :-) I mean come on we will stand in line for hours at record fairs to get a possibility to purchase our long sought after dream album; (tell me you haven't done this if You're a collector). Now it's understandable; don't get me wrong. Some of the albums that they are after were pressed 50 years ago or more and never re-released, and you NEED to find an original album in Mint condition!
Is this a dying passion? Do people still collect rare vinyl albums? Please post your thoughts.
Thanks. 80sHeadbanger
P.S. I've got a couple spare invite codes for the private blog. Anyone interested; Send me a PM and I'll shoot ya the URL and the codes.
